Cher to Play Catwoman?

Reports claim that Cher is in negotiations to play Catwoman opposite Christian Bale in the third Batman installment.
Cher, 62, is reportedly in talks to portray the feline role, which has been previously played by Michelle Pfeiffer and HalleBerry.
The Oscar winning actress-singer will be purportedly joined by Johnny Depp, who is said to be pinched to play The Riddler in the next chapter of the movie to be helmed by British director Christopher Nolan.
According to a studio executive, "Cher is Nolan's first choice to play Catwoman. He wants her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.
"The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry's purring creations."
Filming of the new Batman offering, temporarily entitled The Caped Crusader, is due to start in Vancouver in early 2009.
Cher’s acting credentials include Tea with Mussolini in 1999 and 2003’s Stuck on You, starring herself.
