Madonna Gets Custody of Kids

Pop icon Madonna and British filmmaker Guy Ritchie have settled on an agreement concerning the custody of their children.

After brief divorce proceedings held late last year, the ex-couple quickly filed for a settlement in the British courts. They have reportedly consented to share the care of their two kids, Rocco, 8, and adopted son David, 3.

Madonna brought the case to a New York court and requested that the deal be approved and the arrangements made legal in the U.S. Following a Manhattan Supreme court hearing, the pair has agreed that the children will stay with Madonna in New York, with regular visits from Ritchie. School holidays will have the kids spending time in the U.K. with their father. Lourdes, the singer’s daughter from a previous relationship, will remain with Madonna in New York.

Meanwhile, Madonna reportedly went into a rage after finding out that her ex-husband allowed movie producer Lauren Meek, 32, to stay over at his place. Now magazine quoted a source who said that “Guy used to toe the line just to keep his wife happy. But now the shackles are off he finds it hilarious.” The source adds that the director “decided long ago to see who he wants, when he wants. And if it infuriates Madonna in the process, so much the better."

The pop superstar has previously made headlines after parading her 23-year-old boyfriend Jesus Luz around town and introducing him to her children.
