Jamie Campbell-Bower Cast in 'Twilight' Sequel 'New Moon'

The British actor has been signed on to play Caius in New Moon, the follow up to last year’s hit movie Twilight.

Jamie Campbell-Bower, whose credits include Sweeney Todd and RocknRolla, confirmed his casting to BBC News. He will be heading to the set in June to start filming his scenes in the sequel to the blockbuster novel penned by Stephenie Mayer.

The 20-year-old Taylor Hanson lookalike is set to portray Volturi leader Caius and joins Dakota Fanning as members of an Italian coven of vampires.

The Volturi clan, according to Wikipedia, is “an organized coven of vampires in the Twilight series of young adult novels. They enforce the laws of the vampire world. They ‘invite’ other vampires with powerful gifts to join their coven. They are the largest, and most powerful Coven of vampires in the series.”

Campbell-Bower, who admits he has yet to read the Twilight series, starred in Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp as a young lover and singer.
