Not only did Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull become a box
office hit. It has also become the most mistake-ridden movie of 2008.
This was after moviegoers found 50 mistakes in the fourth offering of the
adventure franchise.
Alert visitors to MovieMistakes.com have noticed different continuity bloopers
and historical blunders in the new movie, which included the explorer’s shirt
appearing tucked and untucked in one scene.
There was also a scene showing an American flag with an incorrect number of
stars.
One reported of a visible equipment in the scene. “When the female Russian is
climbing down the cliff you are able to see for a brief second the cable from
the harness holding her up right next to the rope on which she is climbing
down.”
Another reported a  factual error. “The movie supposedly is taking place in
1957, yet the motorcycle that Mutt rides is based on a 2000 or newer Harley
Davidson softail, showing the modern day controls and Twin Cam motor, instead of
the panhead motor that would have been the period correct engine of 1957.”
Jon Sandys, MovieMistakes.com owner said he is not surprised.
According to him, "Any film set in the past always has a potential extra set of
problems on top of regular continuity mistakes.
"In addition, there are so many Indiana Jones fans that this movie's going to
be scrutinised a lot more closely than some others."
The second most flaw-filled film was action flick Iron Man, which had 15
mistakes reported. One of which involved the crew. “In the extra footage after
the credits, the reflection of the crew is visible in the picture frames around
the apartment.”
