Harry Potter’s Hermione Granger has been accepted at the prestigious Yale University.

E! Online reports that Emma Watson, 18, broke the news on Twitter by posting "Did I tell you I got accepted to Yale," under the handle "mwtsnx."

The British actress, who allegedly toured Brown, Harvard and Yale universities this fall, has yet to confirm the subject she plans to take once she accepts the Ivy League offer. She also revealed that she had likewise received an acceptance letter at UK’s Cambridge University to read English Literature. There has been no word from her spokesperson on which institution she will be attending.

Watson says her studies will not get in the way of her acting profession, and insists that it help her polish her art. "Jodie Foster did it, Natalie Portman did it. I think it's entirely possible to juggle university with filming.

"I actually think going to university will make me a better actress. The experience of living like that, working to deadlines, living with other students. It's all the things I want. There are actresses who don't know about things like doing their own laundry and getting a bus. I'm not going to be like that.

"For me, this is just the beginning. I've only shown a little bit of what I can do. There is so much more to come."
