Jayden James, the youngest son of pop world’s Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline, has been released from the hospital after he was taken to a Mississippi medical facility on Sunday.

According to the singer’s website, doctors who attended to the 2-year-old boy said “he had a reaction to something he ingested.”

The site also stated the boy would be discharged from the hospital Tuesday, but gossip site TMZ had posted a photo of Spears leaving the facility Monday night.

People magazine quoted a source who said Jayden had suffered "a terrible allergic reaction. He had hives, was itchy and irritable."

According to an insider quoted by UK publication Daily Mail, Spears didn't wait for an ambulance and immediately rushed the boy to a local Louisiana hospital after he looked “vague and unresponsive.”

People’s source added that Jayden “is doing fine” and that Britney and her mother, Lynne, stayed with the child in the hospital Sunday night. The family was staying at their home in Kentwood, La. when the incident happened.
