Michael Jackson is being sued by an Arab prince for $7 million after the pop superstar allegedly reneged on a recording contract and refused to give life to the sheikh’s own songs.

According to Britain’s high court, the Thriller hitmaker reportedly accepted a huge sum to perform tracks written by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Bin Isa Khalifa.

Khalifa, second son of the King of Bahrain who said he spent a fortune on a deal he thought would help revive the pop icon’s career, felt "a strong sense of personal betrayal" when Jackson walked out on the deal.

Bankim Thanki QC, the sheikh’s representative, said his client had developed a "close personal relationship" with the legendary artist after he invited him, his children and personal staff to stay in Bahrain in June 2005.

In defense, Jackson said that no project was confirmed and that the payments he received were "gifts."
