Celebritista: Daniel Radcliffe’s Brain Disorder Daniel Radcliffe’s Brain Disorder ================================================================================ nyles on 19 August, 2008 01:08:00 The Harry Potter star has revealed to the British Daily Mail he has a neurological problem that causes clumsiness. Called dyspraxia, the disorder is a common occurrence that causes sufferers to experience difficulties planning a sequence of movements that require coordination and can sometimes leave them struggling with the completion of basic activities. In Radcliffe's case, it's having difficulty tying his shoelaces and a bad handwriting. Radcliffe, 19, who will be seen in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, says, "Sometimes I think, 'Why, oh, why, has Velcro not taken off?'" However, the impediment isn’t perceived by the famous youngster as a hindrance, albeit it’s his inspiration for his acting career. He was permitted by his mother to start going to film auditions after she saw that he needed a confidence boost due to his academic struggles. The young actor, named as one of the richest celebrities, states, "I was having a hard time at school in terms of being c**p at everything." A spokeswoman for Radcliffe asserts, “Yes, Daniel does have dyspraxia. This is something he has never hidden.” The revelation came while the actor was hyping his forthcoming Broadway debut in Equus.
