The Boss Supports Obama for President
In a message posted on his website, Bruce Springsteen said he believes Senator Barack Obama "speaks to the America I've envisioned in my music for the past 35 years."
Rock legend Bruce Springsteen has endorsed Democratic Senator Barack Obama for president Wednesday, saying the Presidential hopeful stands "head and shoulders above the rest."
On his website, the music star wrote that Obama "has the depth, the reflectiveness, and the resilience to be our next President. He speaks to the America I've envisioned in my music for the past 35 years."
The rock star believes that the senator is the best candidate "to lead that project and to lead us into the 21st Century with a renewed sense of moral purpose and of ourselves as Americans."
Springsteen, 58, supported Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry in 2004.
