Josh Brolin Arrested After Bar Fight

Actor Josh Brolin was arrested during the weekend after getting involved in a bar brawl.

He was on a break from filming Oliver Stone’s upcoming biopic W, where Brolin plays George W. Bush, when he reportedly got entangled in a fight between revelers at a bar in Louisiana.

Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times reported:

A few profanity-laced barbs about Stone, his politics and the reported anti-Bush tone of Stone’s upcoming film led to harsh words from Brolin – who is known for his short fuse. Then a few pushes – it’s unclear who started the pushing – degenerated into punches being thrown.

A "W" crew member reports Wright initially tried to play peacemaker, but that changed "after a racial slur was yelled" and he got "into it, as well."

The situation also was complicated by the fact, Brolin, Wright and several members of their party also refused to obey bar management's request they leave as it was past closing time.

The Shreveport Times reported that Brolin and co-star Jeffrey Wright were taken into custody early morning after they attempted to hinder local police officers who were breaking up the scuffle.

Usweekly reports that both Wright and Brolin received misdeameanor charges due to interference with the police.

Brolin was charged at the city jail and ordered to pay $334 cash bond.
