Emmy Nominations for 2008 Announced
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the nominations for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards for 2008.
HBO’s John Adams had the most number of nominations with 23, while NBC’s 30 Rock came second with 17, one of which was for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Other shows that received nominations for said category were Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, Entourage and Two and a Half Men.
Leading the way for Outstanding Drama Series is AMC’s Mad Men, which picked up 16 nominations. Damages, Boston Legal, House, Lost and Dexter were also nominated.
The Academy also announced that it has a new category for reality television hosts at the awards ceremony this year. Nominees include Ryan Seacrest, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Jeff Probst and Tom Bergeron.
The ceremony will be held live on September 21 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
