Chris Daughtry of the famous Daughtry band will again hit television screens, but this time he won’t be singing.

The former American Idol finalist is scheduled to appear on the forthcoming 100th episode of CSI: NY.

According to People, the upcoming episode will follow a storyline in which individuals named Mac Taylor, the name of the series’ main character played by Gary Sinese, are pursued by a murderer.

Daughtry will play the role of Machiavelli Taylor, a good-looking 30-something musician, as described in the production notes. He started shooting Monday.

In addition to the vocalist, CBS’s popular crime-drama is also set to guest Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer Willis for the show’s November episode.

Other guests include rapper Nelly, ex-NFL star Marshall Faulk, actor Scott Wolf and actress Julia Ormond. Willis and Wolf will be featured as other Mac Taylor characters.
